Bio

Dr. Fleshner obtained his bachelor's degree in physiology from McGill University in Toronto, Canada, and his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York City. Subsequently, he performed his surgical residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, also in New York City. He also completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Lahey Clinic and a fellowship in surgical endoscopy at the Massachusetts General Hospital, both in Massachusetts.

Since 1991, Dr. Fleshner has been in the private practice of colorectal surgery and is an Attending Staff Member at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is Los Angeles. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. Since February 2010, he has been the holder of the UCLA School of Medicine's Widjaja Chair of Colorectal Surgery.
