Bio

Dr. Ellenhorn earned his B.A. magna cum laude in medical science from Boston University, Boston, MA, and his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery (including serving as Chief Resident) at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City.

In 1993, Dr. Ellenhorn was appointed Staff Surgeon at the City of Hope Cancer Center, Duarte, CA and over the next nine years he served in a variety of positions at the hospital. They include Chief of Division of General and Oncologic Surgery; Director of Surgical Education; Director of the Surgical Oncologic Fellowship Program; and Professor of Surgery. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Attending Staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and St. John’s Health Center, Santa Monica, CA.
