Bio
Dr. Schaerf earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and German from Columbia University and a medical degree from the New York Medical College, both in New York City. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Miami in Florida and a residency in cardiovascular surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL. Dr. Schaerf then established a private practice in Burbank, CA, with affiliations to several local hospitals.
Dr. Schaerf has earned national and international acclaim for his work in thoracic surgery with special emphasis on minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery.
