Dr. Karunyan obtained his medical education at the University of Ceylon, Sri Lanka and underwent several years of training in Pediatrics before he came to the United States in 1971. Subsequently, he did his residency in Pediatrics in Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and his fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Yale University, New Haven CN. He was associated with the Newington Hospital as a Pediatric Endocrinologists until he decided to move to Lancaster, CA in 1979.
