Dr. Julien earned his bachelor's degree from Tulane University in Louisiana and the University of Florida. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT followed by a fellowship in radiology at the University of California at San Francisco.

Since 1979, Dr. Julian has been associated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he is currently Chief of Chest Imaging and Director of the Tumor Ablation Program.
