Dr, Hamburg had his undergraduate education, B.A. Chemistry at University College, New York University at Bronx, NY and obtained his M.D., Ph.D. from the New York University of Medicine and from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at New York, NY. Subsequently, Dr. Hamburg completed Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center at new York and proceeded to UCLA in Los Angeles for a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
Over the last 25 years, Dr. Hamburg has been private practice of Hematology and oncology with main affiliation with Cedars-Sinai Medical center where he has held numerous leadership positions.
