Bio
Dr. Stokol earned his medical degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He completed an internship at the Groot Schuur Hospital, also in Cape Town. After he immigrated to the United States, he completed a residency (with a term as chief resident) in adult neurology and evoked responses at the Downstate Medical Center/State University of New York in New York City, followed by special training in electroencephalography at the same institution. Dr. Stokol then completed a fellowship in epilepsy and neurophysiology at the Reed Neurological Research Center at the University of California at Los Angeles.
Since 1981, Dr. Stokol has been in the private practice of neurology in affiliation with Cedars-Sinai Medical center in Los Angeles.
