Dr. Dua obtained his medical degree at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He completed an internship at the same institution and at St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic, NJ. He completed his first year of residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University Hospital in Detroit before completing his second year as Chief Resident at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He was named a National Kidney Foundation Fellow at Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, and spent a year as a Clinical Instructor in the division of nephrology at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Sacramento, CA.

Dr. Dua was awarded a National Institutes of Health research fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles before being appointed an Attending Nephrologist in the family practice residency program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Dr. Dua has held a variety of leadership positions at Los Angeles hospitals, including Chief of Medicine at Van Nuys Community Hospital, Chief of Nephrology at Holy Cross Hospital, and Chief of Staff at the now defunct Granada Hills Hospital. He is currently in private practice specializing in nephrology.
