Bio

Dr. Cheriyan received his medical degree from the Christian Medical College in Vellore, South India. He received postgraduate degrees in anesthesiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and internal medicine from the Kottayam Medical College, Kerala University, Kerala, India. Dr. Cheriyan then worked as a Registrar in internal medicine at the Kings Mill Hospital, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdon and at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, United Kingdom.

In 1989 he immigrated to the United States, where he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. After his training in internal medicine, Dr. Cherian completed a fellowship in pulmonology at the Loyola Hospital, Chicago. He is currently in private practice in Lufkin, TX.
