Dr. Newman obtained his undergraduate education, A.B. magna cum laude, in Biology and his medical education at Yale University, New Haven, CT. He did Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Respiratory Medicine at Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA. He has been in private practice since 1979 in the Palo Alto area of CA and is a member of the voluntary faculty at Stanford University. He began as a Clinical Instructor in Respiratory Medicine in 1979 and since 2004 Dr. Newman is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine.
