Dr. Wolk earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Southern California + Los Angeles County Medical Center in Los Angeles and a residency in general surgery at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, CA. He also completed a residency (including a term as Chief Resident) in urology at the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine and at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Long Beach, CA. He took a year off during that final residency to conduct research at Cambridge University in England.
Since 1983, Dr. Wolk has been in the private practice of urology in the Los Angeles area, where he has also served in leadership roles at several regional hospitals.
