Dr. Reznichek received his bachelor's degree and medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. Following a surgical internship at Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital, he moved to Los Angeles to complete a residency in urology at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine/Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. He worked in both private practice in the Los Angeles area and as a member of the medical staff at Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, CA, where he continues to teach.

He is currently Associate Clinical Professor of urology at the UCLA medical school and is an Accreditation Surveyor of hospital cancer care programs for the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer.
