Bio

Dr. Delafield received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, Austin, TX and a doctorate in microbiology from the University of California at Los Angeles. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Dr. Delafield participated in a residency in pathology and completed a residency in internal medicine at the West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Delafield also completed a Kenamer Fellowship in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, CA.

Dr. Delafield has been in private practice for 15 years. Prior to her private practice, she held many leadership roles including Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs Medical Center. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Delafield is a Diplomate with the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP).

She has published extensively in the medical literature and is co-author of “The Outpatient Care Handbook.” She is an invited speaker and lecturer and was awarded the Excellence in Education award from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
