Dr. Naras Bhat, M.D., F.A.C.P. Get a Second Opinion

Dr. Bhat obtained his medical degree from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He was awarded the Gold Medal for being the best student of his graduating class. Subsequently, he served his internship at Loyola University Hospital in Chicago and an internal medicine residency at Charity Hospital, New Orleans, LA. Dr. Bhat was also a fellow in allergies and immunology at the Scripps Clinic and Research foundation, La Jolla, CA. He was involved in research in allergies and immunology at the Scripps Clinic as well as the Letterman Army Institute of Research, San Francisco, CA, concurrent with his services in the U.S. Army as a medical officer, where he attained the rank of Major.

His diverse interests include stress reduction, sleep disorders and obesity. Dr. Bhat is currently board certified in sleep medicine, and is also certified by the American Board of Bariatric Medicine and the American College of Stress Management Education.
