Dr. Gura completed undergraduate and medical education in Buenos Aires, Argentina before moving to Israel to complete an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Sheba Medical Center and Tel-Aviv University, Tel-Aviv and a Fellowship in Nephrology at Rabin Medical Center and Tel-Aviv University, Petah Tikava, Israel. Thereafter, he relocated to the United States where he completed two years of Fellowship in Nephrology at the LA/USC County Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. He is currently in private practice specializing in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and serves as Medical Director of the Kidney Center, Los Angeles, CA. Since 1992, he has served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA and has affiliations with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Midway Medical Center and Brotman Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Gura remained in active service both in the Air Force and Army of the Israel Defense Forces before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1984.
