Dr.Marcus earned the B.S. Psychobiology at University of California, Los Angeles, CA, and M.D. from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv, Israel. Following a three year Research Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, he completed an Internship in General Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center and Residency in General Surgery at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital/Columbia Presbyterian, New York, NY. Subsequently, Dr. Marcus completed a Fellowship in Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery at the Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, OR.
Dr. Marcus has worked at the Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, WA and was the Chairman of the minimally invasive surgery program. Following a move to Los Angeles, he served as Chief of Surgery at Marina Del Ray Hospital, CA. and was the Treasurer and Chief of Staff elect at the same Hospital. Currently, Dr. Marcus is in Private Practice in General Surgery in Beverly Hills, CA with a specialty in Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Endoscopic Surgery.
