Dr. Duda obtained her undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA and her medical education at the Pennsylvania State Milton S. Hershey Medical School, Hershey, PA. She completed her internship, residency and chief residency in general surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, VT. She also obtained a master's of public health at the Harvard University School of Public Health, Cambridge, MA.

After four years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL as an Attending Surgeon, she was an Attending Staff Surgeon for five years in surgical oncology at the Beth Israel hospital in Boston and a member of the Consulting Staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, also in Boston.
