He completed a residency in internal medicine and cardiology at Community Hospital, Eschwege, Germany, and a research fellowship at The Max Planck Institute, Bad Nauheim, Germany. That was followed by a five-year fellowship in internal medicine and cardiology at RWTH University Hospital, Aachen, Germany. After practicing in both Saudi Arabia and Texas, he was appointed Medical Director of cardiac support programs and Co-Director of cardiac transplantation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Schwarz is currently in the private practice of cardiology in Los Angeles.
