Bio

Dr. Somasundaram earned his medical degree from the Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. He completed a residency in surgery at Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi, India. He served as a registrar (resident) in surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in the Isle of Wight in England and completed a fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London.

After immigrating to the United States, he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York, Buffalo, NY. After working as an Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, he completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis and a year of electrophysiology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Somasundaram is currently in the private practice of cardiology and clinical cardiology in Duluth, MN.
